Open Doors: Pysanky Egg Workshop

Children 12+ There are many tales told about the origins of pyzanky eggs. Where they made to symbolise sunshine after a long winter season, or perhaps to tighten the chains that bound a monster in the Carpathian mountains? Either way, join artist Tory Hayward and Open Doors in this traditional Ukranian creative celebration of Easter. Using wax resist and dyes onto a chicken’s egg you will leave this workshop with your own traditional Ukrainian Pysanky egg. Things could get messy to please where suitable clothing. All materials are provided.
