Theatre Information

Reservations

Members of the Palace Theatre Newark can reserve tickets for up to 14 days, at which point, if payment has not been made, the tickets will be released.

Age restrictions

Children under 12 months need a babes in arms ticket and may not be admitted to all events. Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult.

Some shows are not suitable for children and advisory age restrictions will be stated for these events.

Refund of tickets

The Palace Theatre Newark does not offer refunds on tickets with the exception of tickets bought online which can be refunded within 14 days of purchase (Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013).

Members of the Palace Theatre Newark can ask the theatre to resell their tickets but no guarantee can be given that they will sell.

Refusal of admission or requesting the ticket holder to leave the premises

The management reserves the right to refuse admission to any ticket holder or ask a ticket holder to leave if:

·        Their behaviour affects the enjoyment of other guests

·        Their behaviour may put the health and safety of others at risk

·        Their behaviour is threatening or abusive

·        In the reasonable opinion of the manager, the guest is under the influence of drugs or has consumed an excessive amount of alcohol

·        They do not comply with instructions from any person acting on behalf of the venue

·        They are found to be causing damage to the venue or the venue infrastructure

If the ticket holder does not comply, the venue may call the police to have them removed.

Photography / Audio Visual recording equipment

Photography and video recording is not allowed unless expressly stated by the performers. No recording or photography equipment will be allowed into the auditorium.

If you refuse to comply, you will be asked to leave.

On occasion the shows are filmed by the production companies, customers will be informed if this is the case.

Latecomers

Latecomers may be asked to wait until an appropriate moment to enter the auditorium. You may also be asked to sit in a different seat to the one that you have booked if your entrance will cause a disturbance to other guests or to the show. You may move to your booked seat at the interval.

In some circumstances, admittance may not be until the interval.

Show / Event changes

Changes may be made to the show / event or performers due to unforeseen or unavoidable circumstances. Every effort will be made to inform the ticket holders of the changes where appropriate.

Cancellation

Should the event be cancelled, the Palace Theatre Newark will not be liable for the payment of any compensation or for any loss of money and/or expenses incurred in travelling to the venue. Only the face value of the ticket will be refunded.

Alcohol

The management reserves the right to refuse to serve alcohol to any guest.

Third Party Ticket sales

If a ticket is purchased through a third party agent, the contract is with the agent and not with the Palace Theatre Newark. The third party would need to be contacted for any refunds, exchange of tickets etc.

Customer personal details

The Palace Theatre Newark takes customer details at time of booking in case we need to contact customers with information about the show i.e. cancellation. Details are held in compliance with GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Essential Companion Scheme

The Palace Theatre Newark runs an essential companion scheme; this provides a person who requires an essential companion with a free ticket for a show when they buy a ticket for themselves. We reserve the right to spot check this at any time.

Bags, luggage or bulky items

The management will not allow luggage or bulky items in to the auditorium. The Palace Theatre Newark will not accept responsibility for loss or damage to any items not allowed in the auditorium.

Price changes

The Palace Theatre Newark reserves the right to change prices (i.e. discounts, special offers) at any time and these offers will not apply to tickets already sold.

Seat allocation

The Palace Theatre Newark reserves the right to change your booked seat. Every effort will be made to contact ticket holders to inform them of these changes.

Dancing and singing

We are a seated venue, due to this we ask you not to stand and dance if it affects the view of others around you. We ask you to be considerate of other theatregoers.

Front of House Team

Please treat our front of house team with respect. Our ushers are volunteers and give their time freely to make your visit safer and more enjoyable.

Special effects

Smoke effects, strobe lighting, lasers and loud noises may be used at events.
