Are you an educator or creative practitioner looking to develop your creative arts teaching skills?

Bring the arts to life in your classroom with our Growing Creativity Conference!

Build your confidence in new mediums, gather fresh ideas, and discover hands-on strategies you can use to grow your pupils' creative potential. 

 

Running from 10am to 4:30pm on Thursday 18 June, this FREE one-day conference is a chance to meet creatives across a range of disciplines, as well as:

- Learn new skills

- Make new connections

- Develop practical teaching strategies across a range of art forms

- Find out more about Arts Council England’s Cultural Education Network and free mentoring programme

Learn New Art Forms

Meet Our Creatives

Meet the talented creatives who will be delivering workshops and sessions at Growing Creativity 2026!

Jane Stockley

Jane is an artist speciArtist Jane helps a school pupil with a print activityalising in drawing, painting, and printmaking. She is experienced in working with schools and young people of all ages and abilities, as well as delivering professional development sessions for teachers.

Jane works with the Royal Shakespeare Company’s Nottingham School Partnership, bringing Shakespeare-focused visual arts workshops to classrooms, and is an associate artist at Nottingham's Lakeside Arts Centre, where she delivers an education programme for schools and local communities.

She is also a mentor for The Mighty Creatives, a charity providing creative youth services, and runs a successful art group for adults at the Nottingham Playhouse.

Claire Pring

A black and white headshot of dancer Claire PringAn established dance educator, Claire previously devised BBC Teach's acclaimed Step-by-Step series—dance resources for anyone needing help planning dance sessions in schools.

Claire delivers training across the UK for organisations including One Dance UK, People Dancing, and afPE. She has also advised a range of major cultural and educational bodies, such as the Royal Opera House, English National Ballet, and the Department for Education.

Join Claire at our Growing Creativity Conference, where she will be running a session on "Children as choreographers responding to stories."

Charlotte Tupper

Artist Charlotte Tupper holds an umbrella outdoorsCharlotte is a multi-disciplinary artist specialising in textiles. With a participatory approach to working, Charlotte has co-ordinated community projects in care homes, refugee camps, museums, and more. Her practice focuses on legacies, relics, and "what we choose to leave behind." 

At the Growing Creativity Conference, Charlotte will be running workshops in paper sculpture, including how to "Turn Objects into Art."
