October Half Term Activities
Family-Friendly Puppet Shows and Workshops | FREE
Head to Clipstone Village Hall this October half term for two lively puppet shows filled with music, storytelling, and lovable animal characters.
There will be two performances per show, running from 10am-12pm and 1pm-3pm. Every performance is free and followed by an artist-led workshop, where youngsters can create their own puppet to take home.
Both puppet shows and workshops are free to attend. However, advance booking is required, and all children must be accompanied by an adult.

The Three Billy Pigs | Wednesday 21 October
First up is The Three Billy Pigs! Taking place on Wednesday 21 October, this hilarious performance blends two classic fairy tales: The Three Little Pigs and The Three Billy Goats Gruff.
After building their dream homes, the three little pigs’ construction skills are put to the test by a misunderstood wolf. Brought to you by award-winning puppet theatre company Noisy Oyster, the show is suitable for children aged three and above.
Anansi and the Lost Sun | Wednesday 28 October
Next is Anansi and the Lost Sun on Wednesday 28 October! When darkness falls across the land, the animals must work to bring back the light. Who will succeed? The powerful eagle? The clever monkey? Or Anansi the spider and his friends?
Anansi and The Lost Sun is inspired by West African tales and is suitable for ages six and up. The show is presented by Swallow Wings Puppetry, a community arts and theatre organisation celebrating African-Caribbean culture and history.
