World Singing Day 2026
World Singing Day comes to Newark this October with a series of events.
World Singing Day Workshops and Singalong Concert
09:30am - 12:00pm
Choirs and individuals are invited to take part in one of two singing workshops at St Mary Magdalene Church and London Road Congregational Church and led by Rhona McGregor and Anna Tabbush.
Following the workshops will be a lunchtime concert at St Mary Magdalene from 12:30-13:30 where members of the public can come and join the singing or be in the audience.
Rhona’s distinguished West End performing career includes productions such as Billy Elliot, Legally Blonde and 42nd Street and she is now Singing Lead for Musical Theatre at Trinity Laban Conservatoire for Music and Dance. Anna is an award-winning composer, choir leader and educator and is Artist Director of Community Vox and co-founder of SingFest.
