Evening Talk: Newark Castle – Past, Present and Future

Another opportunity to see our new talk, carefully researched and written by volunteers from the Newark Castle Gatehouse Project. We’ll trace the castle’s beginnings under Alexander the Magnificent, the final days of King John, the castle’s role in the British Civil Wars and its later use as a Victorian pleasure garden. You’ll also hear about the current plans that will guide the castle into the 21st century.
